MiGreat selected by AWS Techstars Startup Bootcamp

MiGreat Selected for AWS Techstars Impact Bootcamp
MiGreat has been selected to participate in the AWS Techstars Bootcamps an initiative designed to support high-potential founders from underrepresented backgrounds building scalable, impactful companies. Techstars is a global startup accelerator that invests in and mentors early-stage companies and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s leading cloud computing platform powering startups and enterprises globally.
For MiGreat, building an AI-powered platform to solve Germany’s skilled immigration challenges, this recognition comes at a critical time.

A Personal Reflection
The experience itself was both grounding and energizing. What started as an intention to quietly work in the background quickly turned into something much more impactful.
With 15 years in tech leadership, and 40 years of acing being a minority, I showed up thinking I'd be working quietly on my business in the back.
5 minutes in I closed my laptop.
Glory Eromosele spoke about what it takes to be a minority. About absorbing unconscious bias — day after day. And about the practice of reframing for yourself — not because it's fair, but because the world isn't, and it's our job to succeed in it anyway. Seun Faluyi uncovered a question I need to double down on in my product discovery, Angeley Mullins dropped practical guidance for go-to-market, Jag Singh spoke about the hard realities of the VC game.
One of my favorite parts was the panel with Isabelle Simon (Flanagan), Tarek Abousamra, Jessie Schofer where Deborah Choi said out loud what I’ve been carrying quietly: as mother or parent founders, we cannot let our startups be our babies. Because if you have real babies, you know sunk cost never applies here—while in your business it must. So you have to manage that duality and succeed anyway.
Why This Matters for MiGreat
Germany’s growing skilled labor shortage requires scalable, tech-driven solutions. MiGreat is building exactly that: infrastructure to connect global talent with opportunities in Germany, while simplifying complex immigration pathways.
Being selected for this Bootcamp provides:
- Access to world-class mentorship and technical resources
- Direct exposure to global investors and partners
- Validation of the problem MiGreat is solving at a global level
It also reinforces a broader truth: the future of solving Germany’s labor shortage will be built by diverse, globally minded founders who understand both sides of migration.
What Comes Next
This is not just a milestone—it is an acceleration point.
MiGreat will leverage this experience to further develop its platform, strengthen partnerships, and scale its impact in helping skilled professionals navigate their path to Germany.
As Germany continues to face demographic and workforce challenges, solutions like MiGreat are becoming not just relevant, but essential.
