OPL Academy x MiGreat - Free Webinar

At MiGreat Germany, we believe in creating real pathways—not just information. On March 26, we partnered with OPL Academy to host an interactive webinar focused on opportunities for skilled trade workers looking to build a future in Germany.
OPL Academy is a career development and training organization that prepares African talent for international opportunities through skills development, mentorship, and job-readiness programs. Together, we brought practical insights directly to over 40 participants joining from Nigeria, Qatar, Kuwait, Cape Verde, and beyond.
The session featured OPL Academy’s CEO, Oare Ehiemua, Program Manager, Omololapo A., and our Founder & CEO at MiGreat Germany, Adibeli Nduka-Agwu. Over the course of more than an hour, we explored Germany’s growing shortage of construction and trade workers, breaking down what this means for electricians, plumbers, pipe fitters, asphalt layers, and other skilled professionals.
We went beyond theory. We explained which qualifications are recognized in Germany, which are not, and the concrete pathways available—whether through direct skilled migration routes or paid vocational training (Ausbildung) for younger candidates starting their careers.
We also addressed one of the most common barriers: the blocked account requirement. Importantly, we shared realistic strategies and alternatives that many participants had not previously considered.
The engagement during the session was strong, and the impact was immediate. At the end of the webinar, we introduced a special offer tailored to attendees. More than two-thirds signed up before the session even ended—clear proof of both the demand and the trust placed in our process.
Within just two weeks, every participant who signed up had been successfully onboarded and served. As an added step to support long-term success, we selected four participants to receive a German language scholarship sponsored by Babbel.

This webinar reflects what we stand for at MiGreat Germany: clarity, transparency, and real outcomes. As Germany continues to face a critical shortage of skilled workers, we remain committed to connecting qualified talent with structured, achievable pathways into the German labor market.
We will continue to host sessions like this and expand our partnerships to reach even more professionals ready to take the next step.
